Bishop’s Waltham has been identified under Winchester City Council’s Local Plan Part 1 as needing to provide a minimum of 500 new homes between 2011 and 2031. Winchester City Council is currently consulting on its Local Plan Part 2.
Part of that concerns potential housing allocation sites in Bishop’s Waltham.
Albany Farm has been identified in this document for an allocation of about 120 homes. Local Developers have employed a RIBA qualified architect to look at the site and give an indication on how to potentially develop the site.
They have concluded that in order to achieve the best built line and urban-rural edge (i.e. not just drawing a straight line) a scheme of up to 150 homes could be accommodated and are thus being guided by the emerging allocations document and their architect’s advice and are at this time seeking outline consent for up to 150 homes.
